Bella Ross wrote her first book (a novel) at eighteen a la Jackie Collins. But back then, unbeknownst to her, life was about to take her on a detour. As she set off on her new course, her dream of writing took a backseat. But after many years of worldly pursuits, the urge to write returned. With her love of travel, it is no surprise that her ‘Wanderlust Series’ & ‘Club Pluto Series’ take place in glamorous capitals or exotic locales around the world. Its the perfect backdrop/setting for her characters to explore and indulge their lusts and passions, loves and desires. When she’s not writing, she’s reading, or gallivanting all over seeking new inspiration, or people watching while enjoying a latte at Starbucks and jotting down ideas. She loves to hear from readers and looks forward to interacting through her social media channels. So stop by and say hi!

Lights!  Camera!  Anamazie!

New Children’s Book Tells the Tale of a
Young Turkey’s Rise to Cinematic Stardom

 photo Gollywood2.jpg
Gollywood by Terry John Barto

Just in Time for Turkey Day, Gollywood Here I Come!
Waddles Into Stores and Online November 11, 2014

Los Angeles, CA (October 1, 2014) – Who doesn’t fantasize about becoming a big movie star, living up all the glitz, glam and glory that comes with it?  A talented little turkey named Anamazie Marie LaBelle sure does, only her dream becomes reality in the delightful new children’s book Gollywood Here I Come!, written by director/choreographer-turned author Terry John Barto, which waddles into stores and online November 11, 2014, just in time for Thanksgiving.

Growing up in the small town of Gobbleville, Anamazie studied acting, singing and dancing while basking in the local spotlight as a star baton twirler.  Opportunity comes knocking when the competition Gobbleville’s Got Talent gives Anamazie her shot at being discovered.  With her mom Henrietta at her back, she makes it all the way to the finals, but falls short of the top prize. That is where her path to stardom truly begins as she is discovered by a talent scout, is cast in her first movie and declares “Gollywood, Here I Come!”

With colorful whimsical illustrations by Mattia Cerato, Gollywood Here I Come!  taps into current pop culture trends of TV shows like “America’s Got Talent” and “American Idol; and the public’s fascination with celebrities and movie stars.  At its heart, the story leaves young readers with the positive message “You can do anything if you work hard and never give up.”

About the Author:

WHAT DID WE THINK?  I like the positive message shared in Gollywood. Work hard and make those dreams come true no matter how big they are.  I love that Animazie's mom Henrietta is clearly her biggest fan /cheerleader.

The story is about a young turkey Animazie Marie who is discovered by a Hollywood Talent Scout after competing in a local "talent" type show. Although she did not win the show that she was competing in she did get noticed.  Gollywood has creative and fun illustrations.  We liked the determination of this talented turkey.

Schwan's Home Delivery Review

" I received the products below in exchange for an honest review. No other compensation was received. "

I've seen the Schwan's man drive past  and thought to myself I wonder if it is any good?   Then lucky me (seriously) I got to test out the Schwan's home delivery service.  The hardest part of the process was deciding what frozen foods I wanted delivered.  Schwan's has over 350 family favorites. They even had items for special diets such as gluten free.

 photo logo-4.jpg

The ordering process was so simple .  I placed my order online.  You can also use the simple Schwan's App right from your mobile device.  Just place the items in your cart, put in a promo or coupon code if you have one and then choose whether to pay online or at your home. I really like that I have the option to pay at my door.  Once you have placed your order it will give you a choice of delivery times.  I chose 5=7 pm on a Monday which really worked awesome for my weeks schedule.  I have to say when 5pm rolled by and no Schwan's man I was getting antsy .

Then at 6 ..... here he came. Now we had a ton and I do mean a ton of rain that week. So he had to park at the end of my long driveway to keep getting stuck.   I was really pleased that he did do that though and kept from putting ruts all in my driveway.  (thank you Schwan's driver)

 photo schwans1.jpg

What did we try?  I ordered the :

What did I think?  Everything we tried was very good.  The krunchie potatoes are cooked in the oven and really got krunchie and had a great taste. I'll be ordering them again.  The apple cinnamon bites are a new breakfast favorite. They also come in blueberry so I'm going to give them a try to. The fried rice was very good and there was plenty of it.  I haven't tried the soup yet but if what we've tried so far is any indication I am thinking it will be good.

 photo schwans2-1.jpg

Will I use Schwan's home service again?  You bet I'm placing my next order today in fact.  It is so super convenient.  The food quality was as good and in some cases better than what I purchase at the local grocery.  There are a few items I would like to try that I just feel are to pricey for my  budget . However, there are a few that aren't like the ice cream that I can't wait to try.  One of my neighbors and my driver spoke very highly of the ice cream.  The problem is which flavor to choose first. Yum.

Creative Way to Share Memories: Collage.Com {Review}

" I received several of the products below free of cost in exchange for an honest review.  No other payment was received. All opinions below are based on my own experiences with Collage.com"

When I heard about Collage.com I was excited to take a look around and see just what I could do with my photos.  I am a mom and I tend to take a lot of photos.  I take them but then a lot of the times I don't do a lot with them (bad Mom).  I do try to at least put them in a photo book several times a year.  Which was great because Collage.com had photo books.

Collage.com Review
What comes next?  First you need to head over to the website and decide what it is you want to create. I love that you get to use multiple photos in your creations and you can even put them into fun shapes or words. (Cool!)

 photo ls-book-set-2-pic1.jpg
photo books from Collage.com

Now if you choose to do so you can use the One Click Photo Book option. This option allows you to select photos of any size from facebook, instagram, flickr, or your computer and instantly design a clean professional layout that you choose to customize.  It is very easy to swap and rearrange photos after the fact.

Photo books come in both hard or soft cover. You choose.  I designed a hardcover book with our family photos for the summer. I designed a soft cover book for my son filled with photos of his visit with Thomas the Train.  Photos are printed on heavy weight archival glossy paper.  You can even customize the covers.  Soft covered albums come in 3 different sizes and hard in 4. Each option is available to share online also.  (cool option )

a look at my photo books

One of my favorite features is the shapes. You can choose butterflies, hearts, trains, sailboats, just about anything and have your pictures in them.  The used the words feature several time in my sons book about trains.  I love encouraging him to read and learn about words so this feature was perfect.  I also love that if I choose a butterfly on page 1  I can change to something different on page 2.

Collage.com has a lot more to offer besides photo books. You can do posters, wall art, photo blankets, cell phone cases and even coffee mugs.

We had a great experience with Collage.com . I think next time I might try a canvas print.  If you are looking for a unique and creative gift for the family take a look I think you will like what you find.

jillcooperAbout the Author:

I could write this in the third person. I could tell you what I like, where I was born, and what my favorite things are. But instead, I'll say I don't want to write like everyone else. I don't want to craft stories you've read a thousand times before. I want my novels to be a cinematic experience, blending themes, genres, and situations unlike any you've ever read. I want to break the rules. I want you to break out in a cold sweat as you read my books out of fear, love, and excitement. I want my books to be an experience. When you finish, I want you to feel something. Good or bad. If you do, then I'll have succeeded. If not, I'll keep trying. She can be contacted at http://www.jillacooper.com.
